What Customers Say About Skullcandy SC-SBB3.5 Smokin' Earbud Black:

I can listen to my music on the bus but can still hear everything that goes on, I prefer to kinda be in my own world when I listen to my music. It can get quite annoying trying to listen to your music, when you hear everything around you. I have had this product for about 2-3 weeks. I paid $40 for the product, they ripped me $15 for shpping. I bought the skullcandy ones cause they are sound isolation also, but as I said before they let sound in, and I can hear that teacher and all his hatred spewing from his judgemental mouth. I bought a pair of JVC Marshmallow headphones ($22) a few months beforehand and they were the best I have used. Whereas these headphones, they are kind of like a leaky pipe, they let sound in, not a lot, but enough to where you have turn up your music to drown anything out.

I bought the JVC marshmallow headphones because I longed to drown out his voice, and they worked, I could not hear anything, I saw the teacher walking around the classroom, saw his mouth moving but nothing was coming out. He also is an atheist and preaches his anti-god views, I am a christian and don't like his approach to god or religion, although they are his opinions.

The picture is also misleading, they make it seem cooler than they are. When he teaches, he shouts and raises his voice, its very annoying.

I bought the product for $24 and got ripped off. I have this arrogant and loud teacher at school.

My advice if you want headphones that drown everything out, save yourself the money you would spend on these and go buy yourself the JVC marshmallow earphones. The product is okay but for that price I would buy something else.

The JVC are like ear plugs with a speaker, I listened to them on the bus on the way home and barely heard anything, all that you heard was the barely audible hum of the engine, and my music was not hardly turned up at all.

I highly recommend these earbuds. Owned them for 8 months and have had zero problems. Pros:They stay in my ears and are very comfortable, they block out most sound so I can just focus on the music, I love the inline volume control, cool name, gold plated jackCons:the wires tangle easily, volume control can be a little sensitiveAll other types and brands I tried from walmart, from friends, etc did not feel as good as these. They are comfortable and compared to the more expensive earbuds, I think the Skullcandy earbuds are the best buy.

However, I do like the option of different rubber earbuds, one larger and a smaller, which works perfectly for me as I have pretty small ears. I like these headphones, but when I bought the pink/white headphones, the picture depicted them with WHITE cords. Great sound and otherwise comfortable. I also love the volume control attached on the cords themselves, but it's pretty flimsy and the knob moves easily. When I opened the package, I saw they were a GLARING and VERY obvious pink. I was too lazy to send it back and exchange it cause my previous broke, but had I another pair of headphones to carry me over, I would have sent it back.

These were very similar to my pink ones, except the earbud jack was straight, inline with the wire direction. I've owned 3 pairs of these earbuds in the last year. In Oct 2008, I bought a pink pair of these "Smokin' Buds" after my trusty Sony's bit the dust. Much better quality.

I would recommend some Sony's instead. I had two different pairs that lasted for over 1.5 years each. I guess if you are a more gentle user than I, these might work for you. Yes, they're cheap($), but you get what you pay for.

But, after about 1 month of use, the headphone jack quit playing nice with my iPod Touch. I've have snags like this before with lots of different earbuds, and never had this happen. The first pair's demise was due to gnawing pets, so those are off the hook. Today the cable got caught on a chair and I accidentally ripped the headphone jack out from the audio wire.

(For the record, these had an L-shaped headphone jack, where the jack was perpendicular to the direction of the earbud cable)At this point, I borrowed another pair of Skullcandy earbuds. I liked the analog volume control on them, and the silicone fittings stay nicely on the earbud. Other earbuds worked in the iPod, and the Skullcandy worked with other devices, but they didn't work together.

constantly having to put earbuds back in ears.after 2 months, the left side stopped working and only works when i hold the chord at the base at a certain angle.pay ten bucks more and get a better product. liked the sound- good for coffee shop studying as it blocked out other noise well.however the volume control on the chord was too bulky and acted as a weight while jogging.
